Pflugerville Community Development Corporation

Pf4 responded to a collective neighborhood voice to complete a sidewalk where children walked through an unpaved marshy area on their way to school.  With the support of the neighbors, our state representative, and the City of Pflugerville Parks and Recreation Department, Pf4 obtained a $1,500 Kodak/Conservation Fund grant.  This money was partnered with two different city funds to obtain local Pflugerville Economic Development Corporation matching funds.  The final project ($45,000) completed the originally requested sidewalk, assisted with finishing a second trail and obtained outdoor recreational equipment for two other neighborhoods.  The final project is expected to service 250 families and innumerable visitors in three Pflugerville area neighborhoods.

Trail connections

Our community has a wonderful, well-used trail system for recreational and non-motorized transportation uses.  Due to the rapid growth of our community and the age of some neighborhoods there are disconnects in the trail system. Connecting three additional trails will improve the community’s health and wellness through recreation.  We believe that a more complete system will also support the President’s HealthierUS initiative and the Governor’s Texas Round-up, health and fitness campaigns.

Environmental and Recreational Improvement

Old Town, Pflugerville’s first subdivision, now has a new pocket park with playground equipment thanks to the continuous support of the Pflugerville Community Development Corporation.
