This book captures the hearts and minds of the area’s tenured citizens, some who are centurions. It is an important step in preserving the community’s 150-year colorful history. Capturing local oral histories will ensure that all residents and visitors are aware of the community’s origins and the founders’ pioneer spirit. Audiences of all ages will be able to experience the agrarian lifestyle, work ethic, as well as the tribulations and joys that create Pflugerville’s rich history. Likewise, the publicly and privately educated area students will have an heirloom in the experience of past generations, the community’s former and current center of commerce, as well as how the population has grown four-fold in the last 20 years.

The celebration for the book publication was December 10, 2006.  First editions were sold out in 10 days.  Therefore, the book is in a second printing.
