Keep Pflugerville Beautiful is a silver-star Keep Texas Beautiful Affiliate.  Their year-long efforts include recycling, beautification, waste source reduction.

• Recycling
  
  Through KTB, our local chapter supports many recycling efforts to keep our community.  One of the successful programs is a partnership with EcoPhones to recycle cell phones.  The units are flashed to clear the memory or destroyed according to EPA guidelines.  This program does not accept cell phone accessories such as chargers.
  
  
  
• Downtown Beautification and Banners
  
  With the continued assistance from the Keep Pflugerville Beautiful Committee (KPB), downtown Pflugerville and the surrounding Central Business District are now spruced up for spring and prepared for the holidays. Additionally, KPB was able to obtain banners for various holidays to support tourism and community pride.  With grant support from the Downtown Merchants’ Association, private donations from their members and the Pflugerville Community Development Corporation downtown received a number of large planters.
  
  
  
  
• Household Hazardous Waste Clean Up
  
  The City of Pflugerville has received a grant from the CAPCOG and TCEQ that will expand KPB’s biannual dumpster days.  This grant will fund source reduction of air conditioners, refrigerators and tires, as well as marketing notification.
  
  
  
• ButterflyGarden & Wildflower Garden Seeds 
  
  KPB was a recent recipient of butterfly garden seeds for the Heritage House Museum, Heritage Park, and Scott B. Mentzer Pool from Keep Texas Beautiful.  The organization also received many wildflower seeds from the Keep America Beautiful Trust from Pf4.
